How is capture controlled?

Replay is opt-in, with input masking and content access controls. The capture guide explains the settings for your application.

Are highlights an AI interpretation of the screen?

No. Highlights describe recorded developer events and errors, in chronological order. They help you seek the recording and open related sources.

Yes. Contributor events that carry a session ID indicate whether its recording is available, absent or withheld by access. An available recording can be opened from that contribution.
